I write haiku using the "365 days language notebook" written by the poet Itsuki Natsui.

January 26　季語：水仙　narcissus

水仙　雪中花とも呼ばれ香り高く清楚な花

Kigo 「narcissus」　Also called a flower in the snow, a fragrant and neat flower

I made a haiku.

「narcissus」

Narcissus bathes

in mud splashes

and blows off the scent

水仙は泥はね浴びて香を飛ばし

January 27　季語：鶴　crane

鶴　渡り鳥。気品のある姿で古来より瑞鳥と呼ばれていた

Kigo「crane」Migratory bird. It has been called a congratulatory bird since ancient times because of its elegant appearance.

I made a haiku.

The crane subordinates

the dancing

twilight wind

黄昏の風を従え鶴は舞う

January 28　季語：竈猫　Kamado cat

竈猫　暖をとるために竈にもぐりこんでいる猫

Kigo「Kamado cat」A cat digging into a kamado to keep warm

I made a haiku.

「Kamado cat」

The Kamado cat glares when it has firewood.

薪持てばギョロリと睨む竈猫

January 29　季語：極寒　Frigid

極寒　大寒から2月まで続く最も寒さの厳しい時期

Kigo「Frigid」The coldest time of the year, from the cold to February.

I made a haiku.

極寒やババア颯爽ウォーキング

January 30　季語：虎落笛　wind like a whistle

虎落笛　寒風が棚や電線に当たり鳴る笛のような音。

Kigo「wind like a whistle」A whistle-like sound of cold wind hitting shelves and electric wires.

I made a haiku.

The shadow of the crowd

The cigarette is damp

Wind like a whistle

雑踏の陰でシケモク虎落笛

January 31　季語：雪見　snow viewing

雪見　雪景色を眺め愛でること。宴を催すことも。

Kigo「snow viewing」Look at the snowy landscape and love it. We can also have a feast together.

I made a haiku.

「railway crossing」

Railroad crossing sounds

Walk a little more

Snow viewing

踏切鳴る少し歩けば雪見なり
